“These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” Deuteronomy 6:6-7

Who We Are

We are a Christ centered ministry that exists to encourage, support and build up a community of Christian Homeschool families from Kindergarten through 12th grade.

We aim to provide homeschool support, educational opportunities, field trips, and positive faith filled social interactions for all of our members, parents, and students alike.

What We Offer

K-12 Academics:

  • All students enjoy a morning of age based group learning in Science, History, and Health. Preschool and K/1 students also participate in unit based activities and read-alouds.

K-12 Electives:

  • All elementary students engage in an afternoon of age based group learning in Art, Music, PE, and Social Time!
  • Middle and High School students engage in an afternoon of Music Appreciation, Art, and Life Skill based unit studies, like Home Economics, Yearbook, and Apologetics.

Family Socials:

  • Family Socials are held on the last Tuesday of each month from 1:30pm-3:00pm. This is a great time to connect with other Homeschool families and socialize in a relaxed environment. A snack sign up is sent out prior to each gathering. All ages are welcomed at these events!

Field Trips:

  • Field Trips are scheduled once per semester.

  • Our preschool/pre-k program is offered for siblings of families with students in grades kindergarten and above. Preschool students must be 3 years of age prior to September 1, 2024 to participate in this class.
When do you meet?
  • Each Tuesday from 9:45am-3:15pm.

Our Co-Op has a one week break between every 6-7 week session.  We enjoy a 4 week break over Christmas.  See our full calendar here.

How does the Co-Op work

We are a Co-Teach/Co-Serve Community, which means we all work together to teach classes and run our program weekly. Each family is asked to participate by serving in a volunteer role weekly at Co-Op. Volunteer opportunities include serving as an academic teacher or teacher’s assistant (2nd through 8th Grade Science, 2nd through 6th Grade History and Preschool through 1st Grade lessons) serving as an Electives Teacher or Assistant Teacher (Art, Music, and PE), or greeting our morning and afternoon families. Families are given the opportunity to sign up for their preferred serving slots 3 weeks prior to the start of the semester. One week prior to the start of the semester, remaining volunteer positions will be assigned.

What curriculum do you use?

Our Science and History courses follow the BJU Curriculum.

What are the expecations?
  • We ask that each family serve once per week by signing up in advance on our serving platform.
  • We ask that each family be in agreement with FCF Church’s Statement of Beliefs
  • We ask that each parent or guardian that will be on campus submit a Background Check at the cost of $25, every 3 years.
  • We ask that each family be a regular attendee of a Bible believing church.

My child is in preschool, can we still come?

Our preschool program is only available to siblings of school age children (those in Kindergarten or above) that are enrolled in FCF Homeschool Co-Op .  FCF has an amazing club called “Mamas & Munchkins” that meets the first and third Wednesday of each month from 10:30am to 12:00pm for those in the early years of Motherhood. All ages are welcome to attend our Family Social events on the last Tuesday of each month. *Click here to join! https://fcfchurch.churchcenter.com/groups/fcf-clubs/mamas-munchkins

Can I visit for a day to try it out?

Absolutely!  Please click our registration link for more information.  You can plan to visit for a whole day or part of a day.  We’re also happy to set up a time to answer any questions you have, before your visit. *Visitation is only available during the school year.

What is the cost?

Registration is $25 per student, per semester (Full Day) and $15 per student per semester (Electives Only)

Do I have to teach?

FCF Homeschool Co-Op is a co-teach, co-serve cooperative.  We offer a variety of classroom based serving opportunities, like teaching or being a teacher’s assistant.  We have a few non-classroom based serving opportunities as well.  Let’s chat and we’ll help get you plugged into a place where you feel comfortable

Do you offer drop off?

We kindly ask that all parents of Preschool through Elementary students remain on campus during our Co-Op day.  Parents are invited and encouraged to participate and help throughout our academic and elective activities.  Drop off arrangements can be made with the Director or Assistant Director for High School students or siblings of High School school students in 9th grade or above (or 8th grade with an older sibling).

Do I have to be a member of FCF Church?

All members of a local Bible believing church are welcome to attend FCF Homeschool Co-Op.  If you currently don’t have a home church, we’d love to invite you to check out a Sunday service or invite you to one of our Family Social events at the end of each month.  All FCF Homeschool Co-Op members must be in agreement with FCF Church’s Statement of Beliefs to ensure we are upholding a Biblical Worldview in all of our teaching and learning.

Can my younger aged toddlers and/or babies come with me on co-op days?

Absolutely!  Moms of toddlers and/or babies are welcome to keep their younger ones with them or explore our amazing Preschool Program (and some families do both throughout the course of a Co-Op day).  We encourage you to do what works best for your family.
